   shes wrong. pharmacists make great money- on average about 44 bucks an hour, which translates to about 85,000 a year (and thats just an average). and the person who answered first obvioulsy has no clue what a pharmacist has to know and do to do their jobs. a lot of people think pharmacists count pills- do you really think youd have to go to graduate school and learn vast amounts of pharmacology and chemistry to ‘count beans’?! dumbest thing i ever heard and people say that all the time! you have to excel in chemistry, pharmacology and biology and have a great memory. it takes a smart cookie to be a pharmacist- my cousin joanne is a very smart and diligent women, and she couldnt make it through the pharmacy schools required courses. getting in to grad school is really competitive. when you graduate you are expected to know which drugs interact with every drug on the market, you have to know exaclty what they do, their side effects and how they are to be taken. DONT choose a career based on money or because you think it will be easy- believe me you will be miserable. i see students all the time who go to medical school solely to make a good living who find out dr.’s must give up their lives in exchange for a decent pay, and that decent pay is going down every year plus have the added burden of paying about $50,000 a year for malpractice insurance, and either flunk out, drop out, or cant get excepted into med school at all because their interviewer could sense their superficial reasons for wanting to be a dr.(thats just an example; i know you didnt ask about med school). choose a career you are truly passionate about and dont listen to any friends or family members that tell you one career is “better” than another- only you can make that decision for yourself.
